A CALL FOR FREEDOM AND SELF-DETERMINATION
Created in collaboration with a talented team of eclectic artists, Vespa presents its new campaign, portraying the two-wheeled icon as a symbol of freedom.
The campaign sees a woman walking confidently, speaking intensely on the phone, her voice interrupted only by the clicking of her heels on the road. She appears to know exactly where she is going.
Her hectic life seems scripted, but is interrupted by the sight of a peculiar door that suddenly appears out of nowhere. Opening the door mean she will embrace the unknown, escape the daily grind that sometimes leaves us feeling trapped and breaks her into an imaginary world making her feel free to the point of flying.
Enter a wonderful world made of lightness, freedom, and colour. This is the world of Vespa, where the iconic scooter accompanies the protagonist (played by Angela Trimbur) and becomes the ideal partner for a pas de deux that illustrates independence and release.
Trimbur is known for her particularly empathetic approach to choreography, focused on spontaneity and expressing emotion through dance rather than perfection of movement. This emphasis on love for life and passion is totally in sync with Vespa.
The video is directed with customary grace by Adinah Dancyger, an elegant and sensitive director, known for letting her stories unfold with subtlety and life-like nuance. Here, she succeeds in the arduous task of combining fantastical elements with more ordinary ones, clearly searching for the wonder hidden in the mundane.
A joyful choreography combining exceptional dancers, colourful Vespas and creative camerawork, this short film is an uplifting celebration of individuality and personal growth. Vespa has always been a catalyst of self-expression, a rule changer, a way of life. But above all, Vespa is freedom.
